La Vanguardia devotes a feature to one of our pillars of growth: solar neighbourhoods, the distributed generation model that makes it possible to share renewable energy with homes and businesses within a radius of up to 5 kilometres.
The model is based on installing photovoltaic panels on industrial rooftops. The energy generated is shared with nearby supply points, with no building work and no panels of their own, and it already accounts for close to 10% of Reazziona’s turnover.
Together with Visalia we have around 550 solar neighbourhoods built or under development, 200 of which are already live. Each installation can serve up to 100 supply points and means savings of up to 10% on the bill.
We have a strong presence in Andalusia, Murcia and Extremadura, and the next areas of growth are Catalonia, the Valencian Community and the north of the peninsula, without ruling out the Balearic Islands in the future. We also continue to grow in electricity and gas supply to households, businesses and industry.
