How to tell whether an electricity or gas tariff is genuinely cheap
There is no single tariff that is cheapest for everyone. The result changes with consumption, power, time periods and included services. These are the variables we use to explain each offer.
Energy cost
Multiply each price per kWh by the corresponding consumption. For time-of-use electricity, separate peak, shoulder and off-peak periods; for gas, apply the variable access charge.
Coste fijo
For electricity, it depends on contracted power and its periods. For gas, it is a monthly fee. It can change which offer is cheapest even when one has a lower kWh price.
Full conditions
Check taxes, price duration, commitment terms, revisions, temporary discounts and additional services. We compare prices with and without taxes to avoid false equivalences.
